Welcome to my commission info page! Here is what happens when you decide to collaborate with me.

Step 1 – What Will We Create Together?

At the start, I work with clients to vision art pieces, determining canvas size and scope, and discussing core values, ensuring easy transport and a permanent home display. The first step is a phone chat to determine whether I am the right fit for the project. You can also reach me by email at this address, Lotus@LotusHeartsong.com or by signing up for my email list, where I will announce showings and events where we might meet in person.

Step 2 – Self-Calculate Your Estimate

The pricing for commissions is simple. Once we have your desired Level of detail (specifics below), we will calculate the cost of materials and email you a contract to sign. We also require a 50% payment at that time.

To check-in before we talk, you can calculate an estimate of painting costs by multiplying your desired square inches by the Level number you choose below. (For murals – please add 75% to your total to account for travel and other considerations.)

This level will give your room some pop and stay true to your influence with blocks of carefully chosen color and texture. The focus of the work will be on “Feel” and will have 4 to 8 layers.

Between 8 and 20 layers deep into my art, you can start to see parts that are striking and complicated. The concepts of Level 1 are used to guide Level 2 commission work, which also includes high definitions, illustrations, and symbols.

Completely realized, experience-based pieces form the storyline of my body of work and are characterized by extensive research and careful planning (I use the term “planning” loosely because each piece is generative and unique).

Example Estimate:

A 4ft x 4ft commission would be 2,304 square inches – The estimate for a Level 3 piece would look like this:

2,304 x 1.49 = $3,432.96 + ~$150 materials per 2 ft so, $300 = $3,732.96. 50% or $1,866.48 will be due at start & finish of project.

Voila!

(mural? add 75% pre-materials, thank you)

Step 3 – Prepare

I will promptly return the copy of the contract that both parties have signed to you after receiving your payment and taking care of any scheduling needs that may arise. Before the first paint day on a mural, please make sure I will have access to running water, the wall is clean and ready, and that all other reasonable requirements are satisfied.

Step 4 – Paint

Ahhh, painting time! In order to make something really new, you will need to collaborate, so be ready to unleash your imagination. Together, we will develop a color palette and talk about current influences, inspirations, and goals for the effect of the painting.

The foundation of my offering is a commitment to professionalism and quality assurance. You can count on clear and timely updates and contact throughout the project’s allotted time. I am so grateful for your composure and flexible nature during this time.

Step 5 – Complete!

When the painting is done, please send in the rest of your payment, tell your friends, and leave me a great comment on Instagram or review on Facebook!
